Aligning with Senior Leaders

Engineering leaders in your organisation are not the direct users of your platform but they have an important stake in its success.

  • Engineering leaders have different concerns to the direct users of your platform.

  • They are concerned about different things - rather than developer experience, they care about the ability of the platform to impact the KPIs they care about.

  • They see gaps that users do not see because of their different concerns and the fact that they see a much wider range across their group.

  • You can do either do this through direct interaction or by organising things such as user advisory groups to meet senior leaders on a regular basis.
